Hi, ladies! Wow! What a great site! Have already gone out and bought biotin for my thinning hair--ick--read about it on this site today. Um, just turned 65, post-menopausal, two sons (25 and 21), "retired" from the world of work (where I was copyeditor/copywriter) about 10 years ago. Just moved to new home in N. Georgia mountains a year ago...still haven't unpacked the basement. Hope to check in here often, sounds like fun.

Yikes, lack of digital control--I just turned 56 in April. Not 65. Not yet.

Hi NancyB.....welcome to Dotsie's wonderful forum. Glad to have you here! What an interesting career you had. It's nice to be retired - I retired about five years ago (way sooner than I ever DREAMED that I could) and have been writing ever since! Traded the boring world of hospital administration for the never boring world of writing mystery novels.

Hope you enjoy getting to know all the great ladies here....I am sure we will enjoy getting to know you better too.

Welcome NancyB! Because I am the resident nosey person, AND because I am partially blonde..., I have to ask, you retired at 46? Please tell me I read that sentence wrong...

"retired" from the world of work (where I was copyeditor/copywriter) about 10 years ago.

If you did, I'll be soooo jealous. I'm jealous anyway because you get to retire, period! If I could have kept a husband long enough, I could have retired too, but alas, no can do. Some say I'm just too mean...but we know it ain't so...am I right?

I'm your neighbor here in Alabama...what part of the beautiful state of Georgia are you in? We have some members here from Georgia. Tell us more about what all you get to do, or love to do, since you retired. Good for you!

So glad you've joined us and look forward to getting to know you better. My best to you, JJ

Hello Nancy. I am one of the Ga. Peaches, here, welcome. I am orginally from,OHIO. I just set up a group book signing for authors in our vicinity, JJ. included, to go to Savannah the 1st weekend in Oct. Please e-mail me if anyone is interested in joining me.
Are you anywhere near Dahlonega? We did a huge group signing there in Feb. They paid for all my lodging in this lovely bed & breakfast.
I hope 2 be invited back next year.
Please keep in touch, thanks!
