Dianne heres another little ditty you can use for your figs....

FIGS and MELON

1/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice.
2 tbls. freshly squeezed lime juice.
1 tbls. fresh finely chopped mint.
1 tsp. honey.
1 cup seeded and diced melon (cantaloupe or crenshaw)
1 large fresh fig, cut in half and sliced.
GARNISH: 2 mint sprigs.....

1.) In medium mixing bowl combine first 4 ingredients, stirring to disolve honey, add melon and fig and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate until flavors blend, usually at least 30 minutes.

2.) To serve: into each of two 6-ounce dessert dishes spoon half of the fruit mixture and garnish each portion with a mint sprig.....
