At least stepping on cow=pies is your only fear,
and then only at this time of year.

When I go out roaming in the desert I know,
to steer clear of fallen cactus that might jab into my toe.

Best not to walk in the sand, best to have a low-rider,
cause the desert sand has holes that might contain a poisonus snake or venomous spider.

I stay on the sidewalks the varmits prefer to avoid,
people ride bikes and walk there which keeps pests annoyed.

But if traveling the desert is adventure, and to you a hoot,
be wise, don't wear sandals, be safe wear strong tall boots.
