Thank you, Chatty, and everyone else who commented on my poems. I haven't written poetry in so long, I'd almost forgotten how. You ladies seemed to be having so much fun I decided to try my hand at it again, and I'd forgotten how much fun it is. I find that lines pop into my head so often now I have to keep pad and pen handy to write them down or else they're gone!

I have been trying for a limerick for our other dog and am having a hard time with the rhyming; so here's what I came up with:

Peanut our Heeler is why
We live in the desert so dry.
She loves to play ball
And gives it her all
Except when there's rain from the sky.
