I'll say a prayer for you today.

Maybe quitting smoking is like fasting. You can only do it if you dwell in your spirit. At first you're not hungry at all then a few days into the fast you become ravenous, not hungry, but you have an almost overwhelming desire for food.
But if you can get past that time, you're fine for about three weeks (forty days) until your body begins to digest its own protein and you NEED to eat then your appetite is not so overwhelming, but you are truly hungry.

I don't think the last part would happen with cigarettes, but I bet if you can get past today and maybe a couple of days you'll be fine. At the hospital we told people to expect the craving to return about now and again in about a month or so then maybe in a few months. But the cravings only last for a short time and if you can get past them, you'll be fine.
