fruits and vegetables...

A serving size which is typically 1/2 to 1 cup, is smaller than most people thnk. So eating that five servings of fruits and vegetables a day may be easier than you imagined. The following equals about one serving:

1/2 to 1 apple

1/2 cup canned fruit

1/2 of a banana

8 or so baby carrots

1/2 cup of cooked veges

1 cup of raw, leafy vegetables

1/2 cup of (4 ounces) vegetable juice.


Use a measuring cup to get a better feel for the amount of fruits and vegetables you regularily consume.
