I used to put vaseline on my feet and then put on sweat socks and rubber boots and clean my horse's stall. My feet were never softer!

I love my vaseline, too. I also use Eucerin on my feet. Sometimes I put a layer of vaseline then the Eucerin. My feet don't feel as gooshy. If I could just remember to do it everyday, my feet would be down-right purty.

My sister had a toe fungus one time and she swore that by putting Vicks-Vapor Rub on the toe every night before bed cleared it up completely over time. This way she didn't have to take the Lamposil that can harm your liver. I saw her toe BEFORE she did this, and AFTERWARDS. Something cleared it up. Her feet were pretty again. I need to try this!

I thnk one of the most important things to remember is to use creams, not lotions when it comes to elbows, hands and feet.

Why is that Dotsie? I'm serious. Because creams penetrate and lotions only mask?

Any "cream" that has alot of shea butter in it works
wonders for the rough and cracked spots, much better than
any lotion in my experience.
Among my favorites are Nantucket Hand Therapy by Crabtree and Evelyn
though I love it on my legs and feet, Body Butter from the
Body Shop (the one in the beige container), and Arbonne's
Intelligence hand cream. I use them all over and the shea
butter in them leaves the skin so silky soft, as if to melt : )
Worth the few bucks more!

I use an oil-free moisturizer occasionally by Marcelle or Almay. They are products under $10.00CAN. I use hypoallergic mild soap, Allenbury's. Only under $2.00CAN.

I use a 30 factor or up sunscreen protection. I'm getting some spots from sun....

I won't go any further with skin lotion experimentation because I had major facial acne as a teen, enough that I did see a dermatologist and took oral treatment for awhile in addition to topical treatments.

So for me to be cyst-free for last 25 years of life so far is a real feat...and a serious relief.

And for body skin elsewhere...Kerri Lotion or a very strong lotion with lots of mositurizing. I have had to use lotions prescribed by physician because I have a condition on legs where my skin has become a bit dry and hardened. In colder winters, my skin will flake.

Since living the milder winters of Northwest coast in past few year, I rarely need to use hand lotion.

I should add that I haven't found much of a need to use stronger creams on my face....maybe it's supposed to be hidden blessing of naturally oily skin...wards off some (not all) wrinkles for a few more years.

And after reading this long thread for first time , I have never...used ...any lotion or moisturizer on my neck ..at all so far in life. Have never felt a need for that. Walking and cycling ..to do stuff, etc. there is no need for me to since I naturally sweat a little. Rather than worry about the wrinkles, better for my type of neck, is to focus on overall exercise, to keep it "young' or from getting thick. So wrinkles is least of my concerns.
