Are they the spirits of loved ones who have already passed on? Angels are spiritual beings created by God, therefore, they are not the Holy Spirit, who is the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. Angels are messengers and protectors of God's people. They are also not the spirits of dead loved ones. Human have souls, whch live eternally with, or away from, God. Angels are created as such and will always be angels. I believe the same as Bluebird, except that I believe that we each have not just one but TWO guardian angels. And I'm sure that mine have rescued me from more near misses than I could possibly imagine, though there are a few that I clearly remember as being too close for comfort and/or coincidence...like the car going through a red light at a busy intersection and stopping mere INCHES away from me. I make it a point to regularly not only thank God for the guardian angels He's assigned to watch over and help me, I also thank my guardian angels for all their vigilance and companionship. _________________________ When you don't like a thing, change it. And now I feel badly because I didn't really teach my kids to have faith in their guardian angles. It's not too late. Anyone know a good book about angels?
