These are some good recipe sites:

www.kraftfoods.com
www.cooks.com
www.meals.com

I normally use the first one bc you can search through the recipes quickly, plus you can sort the recipes by preparation time, number of ingredients, etc.

Karen,
I especially like the meals.com one. It gives all kinds of tips too. Don't you love that Halloween cake on the homepage? How cool is that!

Thanks for sharing!

What's terrible is that I have a lot of cookbooks, but the ease of looking up internet recipes usually wins over the cookbooks collecting dust. But, I did get one out the other day and made a hashbrown casserole. It was pretty darn good!

You're welcome for sharing. I hope they'll be helpful!

Very, and take heart... I am the very same way. I have tons of cookbooks, never miss getting the 20XX year of the Taste of Home Cookbook, never, and I hardly EVER cook! So... I do the same thing. But I LOVE, absolutely LOVE reading them.

If one could get fat reading recipes, I would be "blimp woman" as I am forever reading them to see what I can change, make better or at least different. I love looking at pictures of food...

I love the kraft food site. It's just like looking at the food magazines while I wait in line at the grocery store.

Have you ever looked at www.southernliving.com? Check out the Food section. It's my favorite.

Would someone teach my husband when you grill outdoors, on the grill, LOL, you do not walk away and come back when YOU are ready?! I have been working on him for 14 yrs. Nothing has helped! It would be really funny, if I didn't have to eat the meat! LOL Chomp, pull, chew, at least try. OH the charred meat I have eaten in the name of love! [Mad]

Have you tried chaining him to the grill? That might work. That way if he walks away, the grill goes with him.

Just an idea!

:0)

Danita

p.s. the other option is to buy him a "clip on timer" (pampered chef used to carry them). He clips it to his shirt - sets it for 5 mins, walks away....beeep beeep beeep, he's reminded "oh, duh, I'm grilling outside". This type of timer has saved me from burning things in the oven!

Humm Danita that timer idea just might work but for me I would let SLUGGO start the meat then when he wandered away (very short attention span) I just finished it myself, why fight City hall and besides meat is too expensive to let it be turned into jerky, LOL....now this is lame but one JERKY in the house is enough, LOL, sorry couldn't resist.... ohhhh so funny! I happen to love jerky!

Well, the reason you would buy Sluggo a timer - is so that he could put on his big boy panties - and finish what he started.

I have pretended for 20 years to not know how to use the grill. It has served me well. Twice a year he grills, and I don't have to cook!

Wooo hooo! grill on guys! (with your timers to keep you focused!)
