What a amazing woman she is...
competing in her 6th Winter
Olympics in 2006. First woman in her 50's to ever compete.

Her life has been one of hardship and perseverance she has overcome cancer, countless surgeries ...even a hurricane.

She had a training crash Sunday in Torino and now will not be able to compete due to a broken wrist and injured right shoulder.

I appauld her dedication and determination.
Her smile just glows.

This woman is amazing. I read about her breaking her wrist, but I didn't know how much else she had to overcome in her life.

As my cancer survivors' group would say,

GOOOO, SURVIVORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We get a little excited about people like her there!

And so you should. She is an prime example if I ever saw one of someone having GRIT! Remember that John Wayne movie, Rooster Cogburn, he had grit....God bless her.

I completely admire her for not giving up. I'm sure she must get discouraged but like the EverReady Bunny, she just keeps going and going.
I'm inspired by people like her.
