Ok, now if you all get serious about this BWS cookbook, [Wink] let me know. I remember a time when I set out to write my own cookbook. That was long ago. [Big Grin]

I have and it was more fun than getting dirty. I can tell you it is a delight coming up with different ways to showcase a cookbook. There is bound to be SOME way that hasn't been thought of yet, and hasn't saturated the marketplace. Girls....let's put our thinking caps on and come up with one. Who's in? And I'm with Songbird...seriously!

So, would it be a cookbook with recipes from the women on this site and NABBW? If so, shouldn't it go with the theme on the main page of the site? Just a thought.

I can't find where we were talking about comfort foods but I just thought of another one! I opened my bread drawer and there were so many end pieces and dried out bread and rolls, that I was inspired to make some bread pudding. I always just wing it - no recipe, and this time I added peaches. It's warm and mushy and yummy!!

Bluebird,
I love bread pudding . So, how did you make it with the can peaches . I don't like raisins in the bread pudding I think it takes the flavor away .

Can you post it or send me a message Please !

Like I said, I don't measure anything. I heat up some milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and butter.
I add a beaten egg and then pour the whole mixture over the bread. I make sure it's very wet (it will all get absorbed). I just cut up a small can of peaches and added that. I butter the pan and bake it at 350 for about 20 - 30 minutes. It's hard to have a regular recipe as the amount of the other ingredients depends on how much bread I've got.

I've also made it with sweetened cranberries! Very good! I don't like it with the raisins either.

Count me in if the book takes wings to become a reality.
