Hey!

How about putting together a BWS cookbook? [Big Grin]

There are a number of publishers out there. Fundcraft Publishers is one that a group of us used about 5 years ago to publish a cookbook for a fundraiser when we lived in Mexico. It turned out great! We sold 800 the first go around and had to order more. I don't recall what the profit was on each book but I think it was at least $5.00

We raised funds to build a community center where numerous functions were held and it was also used for church services.
We've lost touch with a lot of the people who contributed recipes but each time I prepare a dish from the book many great memories come flooding back.

We could sell the books and have part of the proceeds go to a charity, breast cancer foundation, diabetes research etc. And Dotsie could go on Oprah or Dr. Phils show and promote it!

With all of the talent on this forum I'm sure we could put together quite a book!

Just a thought

Great thought. Let me mull this over a bit. I just talked with my literary agent today. Hmmm...

I just found this post and I think a BWS cookbook would be fabulous. Many cookbooks from groups have been wildly successful.

One of the groups I was in used Morris Press for their publisher. It was great. I'd be happy to help out if we do this.

A while back, we made plans for a cookbook to include NUDE photos of all the boomer contributors.

Yessirree. A little boomer nudity would certainly add spice, right JJ?

Eventually plans evolved for a cross country boomer tour with the chippendale dancers driving the bus and JJ interviewing them while they sat on MY lap.

After some thought, we decided to avoid the whole dieting and exercise fiasco by putting our faces on the bodies of Jesica Simpson, Tina Turner, etc.

Oh yeah!! We were going to add a few recipes. Heck, Chippendale dancers would inspire anyone to COOK!!

Yea but the way we cook with a chippendale Smile should not be the subject of any book let alone have pictures. We'd have to call it: The Ballen Boomer Girls....yikes!

I was thinking that we could call it "Chip'n Dip" and fill it with yummy appetizer dishes...

I think a bookbook is a wonderful idea . We could put my easy chicken pot pie in there and a lot of wonderful recipes these girls have made , sound wonderful to me. We can call the Cook book "Lets Eat".

I was thinking "nude photos????"!!! But those have a way of 'popping up' when you least expect or want them to. But hey, as long as we can paste our faces on a perfect body.....why not?? I'll try anything once. Do we get to cook in the nude, also? Can I wear my apron? Good thing we're talking about women cooking in the nude--I saw what happened to Mrs. Doubtfire when 'she' caught 'her' boobs on fire! I bet that hurt! ha ha
