Ladies, I received this from Chloe. She's busy preparing to move from Thailand to Australia and shared that I could post this for all to enjoy.

She received this from a friend who found it in her Bible while doing some Lenten exploring. Her friend helped write this list while living in Japan. She met in a church with people of differing denominations and countries of origin. Their commonality was the English language. All were interested in exploring, studying, and degating the Bible and related issues. Sounds fun to me! Right up my alley. [Big Grin]

She thought it may help with our Lenten journeys.

Thanks Dotsie. I'll have to keep the list on hand. I've been feeling kind of in a funk lately so it might help.

I checked out a "book on CD" from the library called "Desire of the Everlasting Hills" by Thomas Cahill, which covers what was going on during Jesus's time historically and gets into who the disciples were as people, which helped me understand why they write so differently about the same events.

The CD got me interested in reading the Bible again so I checked out a book called "Meet the Bible" which takes excerpts of both old and new testament and splits them up into 366 daily readings and reflections. In a 3 week check-out period, I won't get very far but I like the CD and book so much, I may have to buy them.

Thanks Dotsie. I love it! I posted those on the website operated by my church. I hope that's okay. It seemed like something everyone needs.
