Vicki M. Taylor Member Registered: 01/06/03 Posts: 2196 Loc: Tampa, FL	I'm really excited about the new book I'm writing. It's about a female alligator trapper. She has to deal with a mother who wants her to find a "real" job, get married and have grandbabies. She has to deal with the other trappers who don't want her in their male-dominated "club". She has to deal with the residents and tourists of Florida who think the entire state is one big petting zoo. Oh, and she has to deal with the alligators! It's going to be fun to write. It's been really exciting to research. Wish me uninterrupted writing time! Peace!

Vicki M. Taylor Member Registered: 01/06/03 Posts: 2196 Loc: Tampa, FL	Hey Dotsie! We take Alligator Alley partially the way to the Keys every month. We take it to CR29 and then pick up US 41 (Tamiami Trail) until we reach US1. We go right through the Everglades National Park. It's absolutely perfect for seeing deer, alligators, birds, and panthers. But, we're smarter than the usual tourists around here. We don't jump out of the car and go chasing the gators. I stay IN THE CAR! I haven't shopped this manuscript yet. I doubt I'll have any trouble finding a publisher though. It's a great story. (If I do say so myself!) Peace!
