Wow! these two videos made my day! Thanks Eagle heart and Chick! Eagle, couldn't help think of my granddaughter, who has music in her bones. Talent is layed in the crib of so many of these little stars. The lion reunion really got to me.I never would have found these on my own. Wow.
How do you gals find this stuff. Does soemone send you the link or do you do searches? I'm just curious.

Dotsie, I am on facebook and people send them to me sometimes.Other times I do a search. Ok ladies, here is a video that tells about where I was born and grew up. I have weeped my way through the whole video...it made me soooo homesick. Remember to enlarge it(lower right hand corner of video)so you can see it full screen. Enjoy a little bit of me. If it doesn't come up, it is called 'If God made heaven here on earth he'd call it Newfoundland.'

Chick, I loved both videos. The one about Christian the Lion was so touching! And I had a few tears in my eyes while watching the Newfoundland one too - my Mom was born and raised there too and no matter where else she ever lived, always had that hankering to go "home" to the Rock.

Good grief...has anyone listened to little Connie Talbot? she's amazing!!!

And, here's George whose story is that he did not make it to the semis last year but busked his way to earn money for the trip to another audition the following year. George suffers from Scheuermann’s disease but, against all odds pursues his dream to dance. He won and shall dance for the Queen in November.
Nice thing about YouTube is that it captures the talent of children like them and allows for the sharing of admirable children. I like talent shows, too, because I love being surprised by the remarkable talent of ordinary folks. It only shows that they are not ordinary afterall. Cool.
Robert Goulet, Gims. Dad was a fan. Oh, I love Luther Vandross, too. Dance with My Father stops me on my tracks all the time since Dad passed away years ago.

Chick, I can feel with you. Newfoundland is a beautiful corner of this world. My brother went on a bike trip there and just loved it. Two German sayings come to mind when seeing this video. “Never tear out a tree and plant it elsewhere.” and “Homesickness is worse than thirst.” Eagle, yes, I had to think of all of you when hearing the lyrics. Lola, Andrew’s singing gave me a goose bump attack
Gims: “I'm enjoying all that has been shared so far... it's as if I'm seeing into your hearts.” Ditto gims. This is so much fun, hope we keep this thread up for a while.

Hey guys, my best friend posted this video and she showed it to me last night. It's her dog, being offered the choice between Cookies or having a Bath - really cute for all you animal lovers:
That's adorable. I thought it was funny that I didn't see her mouth move when there was barking. Then I saw the other dog so I'm assuming it was that dog that was barking.
Our dog would react the same way with "bath" and "a treat." They are so smart.

I just love the older one. His facial expressions are priceless! I'm still chuckeling as I write this. Thanks Lola. I got to see if I find something as cute. Don't think so.
Lola, I had to watch that one a couple of times... made me belly laugh - too cute!!!! EW, I loved both kids, but the older one was so serious at a point, it added so much!
My husband and his dad love the Pink Panther's movies with Peter Sellers. They roar at those things.

Loved the Julie Andrews and John Denver piece for our EW. That movie was my childhood fav. And John Denver was such a hit while backpacking in high school. We sang his songs while hiking.

Its nice to see something besides garbage on U-Tube for a change...Ah, the Pink Panther movies.. I loved Peter Sellers as Inspector Cluesoue.(?) I doubt I ever laughed so hard. He was the comedic genius of his time...
Mij, I do spend a lot of time on YouTube as well and dig up mostly concert clips and performances of artists I have enjoyed so much in the past and would like to watch in over and over again like Sylvie Guillem in "Manon" and the "Dying Swan" of Ulyana Lopatkina.
We don't have PBS in the UK, Mij. I miss it!!! And, I so get the snowballing into other treasures once one gets surfing YouTube for clips. It happens to me as well. I'd love to view more of the treasures you find.
Did you replace the first one with this, Lynnie? I viewed the interviews as well and post a direct link to that. Hope you don't mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvMCdXZYH0A
Hope you do more of it and wish you well in your mission.
Wow, JJ, Watched the YouTube on Swing dance that will keep you in shape for sure . I did my morning walk and felt good . Oh, the knees LOL.Makes you smile
Best , Renee

Lynnie you are stunning. I saw and listened to your videos.
It breaks my heart to think these atrocities have been done to you. You carry a light within you, and you are quite the lady to spread the word around for other woman to share, relate, and find comfort knowing they aren't alone.
Lynn, I just watched your videos...I have to echo Edelweiss...you are stunning. Watching you brought me to tears, tears of sadness for all that you endured, but even more, tears of joy for the inspiration that you are, for the courage, light and strength you radiate. You ARE love and light, Lynn. It vibrates out of you and touches hearts. Thank you, thank you, thank you for living and being, and for touching/blessing my heart and life!

Gims, I tried imagining how I feel when I'm upset and frustrated with my Hubby. I usually feel a dull pressure in my chest. So I imagined being upset, like they suggested. The pressure came. Then I did the tapping and it was gone. I don't know if it works when the real thing happens, but it is worth a try.
I love visitng this site. So many beautiful songs. Just love it.
No, how does one find it, Chatty? Do you have the link?

Vonda, that was just too delightful and hilarious! Thank you so much for sharing that...I'll have a whole new appreciation for who I see in my own mirror tonight. The current theme during my prayer time lately has been "see with new eyes"...your Solomon's Beloved certainly helped me to do that!

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I so wish I could share this with my mom....lol. I also would like to see this in person. The camera cut away on some good belly laughing... made me wonder what other facial expressions and antics you were doing. Thank you for a good laugh. and welcome.
Well, you have now... been Rick-Rolled, that is. This has been going on for a long time. Look at the number of views. This internet fad is when someone clicks on a shared link and is surprised to be directed to a video of Rick's “Never Gonna Give You Up.”
I'm still trying to figur out You Tube. I was just on there and saw some pretty disgusting stuff. (not Vonda's, of course.) But I just clicked on randomly and found some horrid videos. Do people go on there and put there own video clips on there or what? I thought you could do that. Some of it looks like it could be. Do you have to join it? How does it work?
Lousia, You can go onto the site Google and you will see in the right hand corner "More" click on the errow and you will see "You Tube" and not sure about joining . I found "Ballet Russes" on theat site of You Tube .
Just some thoughts , Renee

Hi Y'all. Thanks for the encouraging feedback! I LOVE doing Solomon's Beloved! I have to admit, she's a hit wherever she goes. But I DO want you to know that she's just a little vignette from a couple of my presentations. I promise there's a real message in there, too. But what better way to share an important message than to get us all on the same page with laughter?
I hope you all have an awesome Labor Day weekend! Blessings, Vonda www.VondaSkelton.com
To upload videos...which vary all over the boards in quality and in topic as I'm sure you found...you do join and there is no charge to do so. I've been lurking there for a while and uploaded my first "video" today. It was really an audio clip with a static picture throughout. On another thread, we were discussing whether we believed in past lives and I recorded an experience I had with a past life regression. Now that I know how to do it, it wasn't so hard. However, that doesn't count the gazillion tries over the weekend to figure out what in the heck I needed to do. I mean really, what *is* the "correct" format? ARGHGHGH!
At any rate it was fun to play with and enjoy listening to a bunch of classical music while I work. You can create a playlist (like your own personalized "record") and it can play in the background. Fun stuff and a great way to make sure I feed my case of NSOS (Next Shiny Object Syndrome)!

One of my favorites is "My Wish", which I played at my wedding to Gil last year when we brought our sons up for a commitment ceremony. It touched the entire crowd and we looked out to see everyone swaying in time to the music and waving their candles (it was night wedding).
How on earth did The Dame keep her face straight!!!

NYWomen, listening to your youtube selection, I'll Never Find Another You, made me want to cry. For some reason, it pricked some deeply sentimental feelings. Some songs do that to me, Music Box Dancer being one in particular.
I'm moving to North Dakota... I love their Senator Dorgan. I caught him on CSPAN, talking about the bailout, the other day. Really enjoyed his presentation on the Senate floor.

Someone filmed street musicians from around the world singing the same song, and then edited it together. You got to watch to the end. I got goosebumps from it.
EW...see? There was someone who had not seen it, so post away, girlfriend! It doesn't matter if it's been on here before...don't even know what I said that! Duh?
Lola...what fun that was to watch...everyone on common ground to sing a song that meant something to them. There's probably 101 reasons to love that song.
Edelweiss, I'm VERY glad you posted that link. I hadn't seen it before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hubby enjoyed it too. We turned up our speakers and listened to it a few times. Then we sent it to several other people. So you brightened up several people's day today!
Lola, I'll have to come back later and listen to that one. Hubby & I are "Dancing With the Stars" in 6 minutes!

Oh wow...what a way to wake up your day. I also listened/watched the ones at the bottom of that screen, EW. Did you see the Lord of the Rings one? Wow, wow..wow! You know what struck me as so cool? The way that Andre looked while performing. So happy!
I saw LORD OF THE DANCE in person at New York, New York in person, right down in front a few years back and OMG, it was awesome. The colors and the dancers, WOW, is all I could say.
I thought this interesitng. I have very dry skin, especially since I take Beta-blocker. I realize the video wants to sell their product, but still he has some good tips.

Wow, I need to check the lotions I use to see if they have those ingredients. I'd never heard that what you put on your body is the same as drinking it.
Do you take Fish Oil, and if so, have you noticed a difference in your skin?
I take it sporadically because I taste fish for a couple hours after taking it. Yuck! Ross takes the same fish oil and doesn't taste it. Isn't that wild?
