Yesterday I spent some time shoveling my dad's car out while he watched. [Wink]

I know it kills him to stand there and watch me because he'd love to do it himself. Just can't do it anymore.

I was happy to help and thoroughly enjoyed his company while shoveling.

I'm so grateful he's still here.

Now we need to get back over there today because it's still snowing! [Razz]

Anyone else find themselves doing the little things for their parents these days?

Dotsie your post reminded me of the past thre years or more when I drove 1 hour to shovel my folks out after each snow or fixed a leaky pipe or my favorite, bailed a clogged toilet! Now that my dad passed away in Feb., and my Mom is in a retirement community, I no longer have to do that. I wonder if that is why I was so grouchy shoveling our place today. Did I intuitively miss him? or was I just angry the snow appeared so early and ruined my hopes of a mild winter?
Thanks for sharing, the memory was sweet. [Frown]
