Dad's power is still out and he's fine. Absolutely content! I find this so interesting.

My kids were a little freaked out without power. Though they did get used to it after a little bit. It's just making the mind adjust to finding other things to do.

However, it definitely bothered them more than Pop-Pop. We tried to convince him to come to our house after our power was back, but he would have no parts of it. My sister wanted him to go hang out with her and he promised us he was fine, and he is. We visited around 9:30 last night and he was there with his little flashlight on, listening to the ball game on his battery powered radio. No problems or complaints there.

I could definitely see the difference in the generations. He was once very used to a simple life. The kids have always had every electrical gadget to confuse matters, entertain, and occupy. There is definitely something to be said for keeping things simple!
