Obamas's Immigration Initiative

Well, this action of President Obama -- whether or not you support it -- will no doubt cause a lot of discussion all over the country.

I received this link to a New York Times Op-Ed piece called Suffer the Little Children from my mother, who urged me to read it.

I thought it was important that it came from her, seeing as she lives in Southern Arizona and regularly sees illegal immigrants passing through their neighborhood in their search for a better life. Something that she has never liked nor condoned.

It makes me wonder how rough their life is if they are making the trek across the desert. But then of course many of them are being taken advantage of by people who charge them exorbitant fees and leave them stranded. I think that the Congress had a bill for over a year that was passed in the Senate, and Obama said he would sign it. But Boehner refused to let it come up for a vote. So now they have to pay the consequences.
