"I'll be back" coupons

Not sure how many here do craft markets,but we have this dilemma that people say 'I'll be back' and they don't come back! The vendors joke that we all have "bee-backers!".

So, I thought of handing out a cents-off coupon to those who say that (which is MANY) and see who really comes back!

WE also say that if we have a nickel for each on who says it, we'd be rich!!

Any thoughts? Would you 'be back' if handed a coupon??

(I also have begun a sign-up sheet for an email newsletter with a cents-off coupon as well, but just for locals since i do the Farmer's and Craft Market twice/week)

Hi, Di: I just thought as well that it might be a catchy one to print brightly coloured bee-shaped coupons so that it stands out amongst other coupons customers may have. Two cents in and hoping for a sellout for you.

When people come by and say the "I'll be back", I'm sure it's to give me hope etc. So I say 'GREAT! I'll look for you" or "would you like me to hold something back so it does not sell?"

Sometimes it works; sometimes not.

I love this idea! What could you do to get them to return a THIRD and FOURTH time? Or for referrals? Great Marketing!

Actually, many locals do come back. That is why I started the email newsletter for locals only. We don't sell on the web, as yet,but one never knows!
