A Free Holiday Gift for all Forum Members - 12/19/08 02:55 AM

It seems that holidays and the start of a new year are times when we naturally rethink, regroup, revise and start over.

If you're doing any of these things or getting the "is this all there is message" or are in a transitional stage trying to figure out what you want to do next, I'm with ya!

Coaching/mentoring (whether one-on-one or group) has been the number one factor that got me out of the hidden-away, lackluster life I was living to one that pulls me up and out of bed in the morning.

Could coaching/mentoring do the same for you? It really is a great way to access your own wisdom, gain clarity and live a life on fire. AND (you’ll find I’m a fan of AND conversations) it isn’t always easy to figure it if it is right for you now and, if it is, who gets to be your guide on this leg of your journey.

So how about a “Try Me” session to test the waters and see if this is your time? Kind of like a first date…my treat! No charge, no obligation, simply a focus on you.

We’ll spend 30 minutes (ish) on the phone focused on what is next for you and define 2-3 actionable items that will take you at least one step closer to your Kick-Butt-and-Take-Names Life.

Send me a private message (PM) and let me know what time works best for you. No matter where you are, we can chat using a cell phone (I’m on Verizon so if you are, it won’t hit your budget), a landline (I have unlimited long distance in the USA), or Skype for those of you who want to have a free call via the internet.

My passion is helping others discover and live their passions...and I look forward to helping you discover your passions soon!

Blessings and joy for this holiday season and here's to a Kick-Butt 2009!

Hey Mama, I have my goals in order. I'm curious. Could you mentor me? I am training to become the first woman to win World Series of Poker.

Mama, finding midife purpose is one of my favorite topics. Thanks for your generous offer to the ladies here at BWS and NABBW. Please let me know how this goes through a PM. I'd be happy to share an update in the weekly update to promote your work.

Hey Chick

Eminently possible...if you want to get together and talk about it, let me know! Although some sessions are about setting the goals, others are about using a coach/mentor to provide "accountability" for sticking with the plan. So give me a holler and let's see what we can put together. Make sense?

Hi Dotsie

Thank you for your support...I'm a blessed woman, I truly am and I'm so thrilled you've created this approach for helping midlife women find a way to live a life on fire. I believe, at such a core level, that this group of Light-Filled Beings has so much to share and finding the approach is so vital to us as individuals and to the world.

I'll will take you up on your generous offer. Question...will the NABBW members automatically see the offer? I'll admit to my ignorance in how the two groups are interrelated. Guess it would be good for me figure that out, eh? Smile.

I get sooooooooooooo jazzed when I hear the ah has that come from this type of work...leaves me singing for joy all the day long.

You SHOULD get jazzed because you have a gift. Helping others to live a passionate and eager life is definitely something to pass on and not hide from the world. Everyone can't do this, in my opinion. It takes a special heart, mind, and soul. From what I've seen and read, you posses this. How lucky for us?!!!

Aw JJ...now you've done it (grin)...touched my heart and started the tears flowing. What kind words from you, someone I admire and honor tremendously. Your gift of humor and kindness is something I aspire to.

I look forward to learning more about the precious souls who call this their online home! It has taken many years, and a ton of soul searching and a gazillion (maybe just a tad less), starts and stops to step into this role. I love it, I always have, and it has been a journey with a great many detours into self doubt and self abuse. That is why, I believe, I want so much to do this work...to take what I have learned and reach out to others who are in that place and can, if they wish, take what I've learned, what I teach, and make it their own.

MR, did you notice that what I wished for in the other thread "what do you want for Christmas" and it had to be material, I said I wanted a mentor/life-coach? I wrote that a couple of days ago, and here you are with this offer. Also, I was just about to ask here what everyone's favorite book is for goal setting, life-altering activities. What books do you recommend? I do visualization boards.

Re: A Free Holiday Gift for all Forum Members - 12/19/08 11:11 PM

No PL, I hadn't been following that thread (naughty me!) and that is so kewl!

Oh goodness, my favorite? Only one (whine, whine)...

For setting priorities I lean more toward the process used in The Passion Test (although I guess it isn't a "true" goal-setting tool) because it is my belief that we can set goals till we're blue in the face (got a gazillion t-shirts on that one) and it doesn't mean a hill-a-beans difference if it isn't something that really means something to us.

In fact, the first step in my coaching process is to get people crystal clear on what is most important to them right now (which is really what The Passion Test is about). Once that foundation is set, the other things become a lot easier because they're bounced off the current life priorities.

I do have a vision board (although mine is on my computer as a screen saver instead of on paper).

As for life-altering activities...mine greatest ones in the past 3 years have been reading books like The Dark Side of the Light Chasers which helped me admit to and learn to love those sides of myself I try to hide away and Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting for getting some clarity on things like the Law of Attraction and Law of Resonance. One of the biggest kick-in-the-butt experiences was a transformational coaching program called Beyond Your Best (based in Indianapolis). Good grief, that 6 months took me around the bend and back again.

Another activity is working with my Theta healer to clear old belief systems, as is The Work by Byron Katie.

Everything I've been doing is about BS (belief systems, not the other one...grin) and rewriting the stories of our lives to empower rather than disempower.

Sorry there isn't a "one thing"! Blast, I "just" can't to pinpoint one! Seems to change as my needs change or based on what is happening at any given moment. Make any sense?

Although my normal starting point for coaching is to determine passions/purpose, if that is already done, we move on to looking at where you want to be, defining the steps to get there, building an accountability structure, and breaking down the BS that may be holding you back.
