I've two bank accounts, one FDIC and the other NCUA insured. What's the difference between them?

MustangGal - FDIC stands for Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the fedeal agency that insures checking and savings deposits in banks up to $100,000. NCUA stands for National Credit Union Administration, the agency that insures deposits in federal and state credit unions.
