Knit vs Crochet

I learned to crochet when I was very young and always liked it because it went "fast", but since I've learned to knit -- I have a hard time deciding which I like best.

What do you prefer ladies?

I can crochet but only round and round into a blanket....what I want to be able to do is a towel made into a hanging towel for my cooker front.Using crochet after first cutting a tea towel.Can anyone help me over the net...?
