Kurt vonnegut dies at age 84 - 04/12/07 06:19 AM

His brilliant thoughts and prose left a lifelong indelible impression on me. His writing is some of the finest produced in the 20th century.

He has no replacement. RIP

Oh, I hadn't heard this news. I still remember all the Kurt Vonnegut required reading in high school; interesting stuff.

I've never heard of him...but I did a search and found this quote that I liked very much...

Quote:

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward.

Dear Mrs. Madness from Moscow,
How great it is for Kurt to have contributed to society in such a wonderful way.
Jane, I love that [laughter and tears] quote, too.
TVC15, 'tis indeed a great loss.
