Our World - 04/11/07 11:17 PM

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I came across this web site that held me spellbound. Kinda puts things into perspective. I found the site using 'stumble upon' which is neat because you can pick categories you're interested in. Once Stumble is on your tool bar, you can click on it and get taken to a new page every time - really amazing! Anyway, the Miniature Earth page takes the world's population and reduces it to 100 people, then categorizes them. Enjoy!

Yonuh, this is a great post.
It's moving to see websites like these that educate, inspire, and motivate human kindness.
We live such a privileged life in comfort and good health. We take for granted clean water, food and shelter. Not to mention all our other luxuries.
Could I suggest that each of us make a donation, if we are able to, to our favorite chariy this week (or an extra one if you already do this regularly). One person can make a big difference, but imagine how many lives we could touch if we could all help just a little.

This video should be showed on every college campus.

We usually give at the end of the year to a chosen charity, but this has inspired me to give again. Dianne, how wonderful that you sponser a poor child. Have you ever met her, or wish to? When my mother passes on, then I will take over the child she sponsors, who is meanwhile the grandchild of the first one she's sponsored.
