Where to post this? Here looks good...CARTOON HELP!

Hi girls...I desperately need you!

Here's my questions...

I want to take ownership of some of my own devised cartoon characters....one in particular.

Do I patent, copyrite, poor man patent,etc.
It is not a comic strip, more of a one liner cartoon, Specific Character.

How do I submit it...freehand? Or do I go to a printer first? Do I add color?

Where do I send it I guess is just as important, then I can ask them all the Q's.

If any of you have "ANY" suggestions or ideas please, please, please direct me.

I want to get started on it as soon as I can...like yesterday

The artist for my column simply writes:
copyright (year) by (your name)

or use the "c" in the circle symbol, the year, and your name.

on every piece of artwork.
I believe this protects you. You have a lot of time to register the copyright, but you are protected from the moment you create it.

Where are you submitting your cartoon?

MClubPrez, thank you for that piece of info.I'm like a baby taking its first steps.Where am I going to submit my Cartoons? Where ever I can. Online, magazines,newspapers and eventually compile them into a book.
I think you need to put your website right here on your post. I found it by going into your profile. If you got it, why not flaunt it.
