food or exercise help?

food or exercise help? - 05/06/05 12:35 AM

I'm new to this site and to being in the throes of menopause. On top of that, I'm going through a divorce--so many changes! But before I think of my own needs, I'm writing to get some input from others going through perimenopause or menopause. I'm writing two chapters for a book Our Bodies Ourselves is doing on menopause. My chapters are on Eating Well and Staying Active. Sprinkled throughout their chapters are anonymous quotes from women who comment in some way about their experiences with the subject. Any of you care to comment anonymously? Such as on diet changes made that helped symptoms or weight gain, knowing you should eat less fat but loving those cookies, exercising more or not. That sort of things. Appreciate it. I won't quote anyone here unless they say they are responding to my query or who private message me. Thanks!

I'll gladly share something via email about what Curves has done for my perimenopausal body and mind.

I'm sorry to hear about your divorce. I pray you look at this time as a new beginning rather than an end. Please feel free to share more. Maybe we can help you have a positive perspective on awakening at midlife.
