Today, the 81-yr. old former gold medallist for figure skating (1948 Winter Olympics) did her mini jog with the Olympic flame torch in the cross-Canada relay. She went inside the Canadian House of Commons, our federal seat of government in Ottawa in Parliament Buildings. No doubt, it was an enormous thrill for her.

Flame will have travelled 25,000 kms. across Canada by the time it reaches Vancouver in Feb. 2010.

Nice article. I had no idea so many people were invovled with carrying the torch.

I'm guessing that if I admire her beign so fit at 81 and would love to mimick her, I better get started. HA
