Wow that's quite the list. We have a Dillard's outlet store. I think it's the only one in the country. Some great bargains on out of season clothing. Thanks Dancer. BTW we have to talk. I'm doing a makeup overhaul.

Hi Chick,
Ready when you are for the make up over haul! Just post what you want to change and accomplish in the fashion forum and I'll keep my eye open for it!

Best,

This is a good reminder not to give gift certificates to stores this Christmas...they may not be around to honor them!

dancer, thanks for posting this. I didn't know about Talbots or J Jill. Wow, how sad for all those employees.

Right around the corner from me, one center is closing down. All three stores have either gone out or are going out of business - Comp USA, Linen and Things, and Tweeter. It's pathetic.

I had no idea about Talbots & J Jill either. I've not seen any great sales for the above stores either. The local LNT is closing, yet the sales are so-so.

I will give gift cards to restaurants or Wal-Mart. Wonder if I should buy stock @ Wally World, too?!

There's a local furniture store going out of business, but I think they marked their stuff up to show a markdown. No lie. Their prices are still way too high. Then, as we were leaving, they told us to come back on the weekend because they were getting in more furniture. What?

Good Morning America did a story this morning about using gift certificates NOW at certain stores. I purchased a KMART gift certificate for a relative, because they had already went through their financial crisis (no one bailed them out,) they restructured, and are now doing okay at the moment.
