We were at our small town ceremony this morning and it was really great. They were honoring the Korean War Vets, and invited some of the local Korean community members to come.

Those people spoke and thanked our soldiers for all they did during that war, laid flowers on the memorial, and passed out small gifts to the soldiers as a token of appreciation.

I've never been to a memorial service where the soldiers actually got to hear a true thank you directly from the people of another country that they've helped. It was great.
