Hi, Ladies!
I'm new here. I am a friend of Dianne's and she told me about this site quite awhile ago so I have lurked and read the posts here many times, but finally joined today. I posted in the Featured Authors segment earlier today.

I have been married since November of 2004 (not the first time...) I live in Oklahoma City, and I am a real estate broker. I posted a link to my website in the featured author's segment, but I will post it again here. I'm one of those people who likes being able to put a face with a username.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here!

P.J., welcome to the neighborhood. How long have you and Dianne been friends? You lucky gal! She's doing a great job as our Featured Author.

Just thougth you should know that when I went to your link, all it said was YOU WON. What did I win? Ha. For some reason, I don't think the link was working. Unless I won Dianne's closet full of shoes.

PJ has gotten swamped at work, which is a good thing since she's a real estate broker. She's out making the big bucks!

Hey Dotsie, whatever you won on my site I get half! LOL I just tried it and I got an ad that said Congratulations! But then my website opened up behind it in another screen. It will tell you that you are about to view pages over a secure connection and you'll have to click yes, but then it should take you there.

Thanks so much for all the warm welcomes, you guys are GREAT!

Yeah, I was out making the big bucks today for sure...let's see, when I showed one ladies house one of her cats almost escaped out the front door, then I had car trouble, then I had to try and rescue an abandoned dog, and....and.. Acck!

Aw shucks, those aligators are so drunk they couldn't catch us if we swam right into their faces. All they do all day is swim around hiccuping. Ever seen a drunken aligator? Its not a pretty sight.

Sassy, welcome to the neighborhood. Glad you decided to join us. How old is your teen that's still at home? My kids are 21, 19, and 18. Congrats on all those grands. Are they nearby? And one last question, are you still practicing nursing?

Hello ladies, thanks for the warm welcome, hope to be able visit as often as time permits.Yes,I'm still a practicing RN,though looking forward to retirement in 5 yrs...gee,that sounds like a forever away.My son will be 16 in Dec,my other children all has two children each;unfortunately only my middle daughter lives here in WA.,actually she's only a few blocks away which I of course loves,my two grand-daughters by her are such wonderful gems.At this time of my life I am learning how to let go of my son,so he may be able to grow, and find his way into adulthood. Not easy, but his sister's are great help in that direction. At this time I'm enjoying dating again;now that's a lot of fun..

Welcome Sassy! I heard you on the "letting go" thing with my own sons. I'll probably never be able to let go. Not all the way, anyway. But you are wise to give him space to grow.

Welcome to all the newbies! Let our casa on the web, be your casa!

Welcome Sassy!
I was 'born' a nurse but I left f/t nursing about 1 1/2 yrs ago to pursue my writing, speaking and personal coaching career. Can't say that I miss it...

I have 2 daughters, both married, and one bitsy granddaughter who lives 10 hours away.

We're pretty friendly around here so I know you'll have fun!

sassy, I hear you about letting your son go. I'm letting all three of mine go. The youngest two who are 18 and 19 just left for college in August.I've always raised them with the idea that they belonged to God first. I also tried to make them independent and confident. Now they are out in the world trying their wings. It feels great most of the time, but I do miss them. I'm so grateful for email, instant messaging, away messages, and cell phones!

What type of nursing do you practice?

Welcome P.J.! Both you and Chickadee should get together and go shopping! There is a great tea room on MacArthur Blvd. which has the best chicken salad on croissant, homemade muffins w/ orange butter, and homemade sorbet! "A Spot for Tea," I just love it and is situated w/in a antique store. P.J., I know you'd love the Victorian decor!
