I have one on demand publisher but if the price is right would add to this list. Getting the word out is hard when on disability income. Wish I could go back to full time just for the money but love working at home and meeting all of you.

Marketing is my weaknesss. I hate cold calling and feel that baby boomers would rather have a warm and personable contact. Hope I am right. I am so tired of political recordings and donation calls. Certainly don't want to be part of their network.

Phyllis, I encourage you to fo after whatever it is you are looking for.

Some people can't believe I search the Web looking for information, find what I'm interested in, then email the person and begin a relationship by offering what I have for them and then we reciprocate. IT's been a great way to mkae friends.

When I first launched BWS, I was looking for stories from boomer women. YOu can find many of them in the OUR VOICES section on this site. I wanted to give voice to our generation of women and all that we have lived, survived and thrived.

I began by emailing anyone of interest in the National Association of Women Writer's Member Directory. I read their Web sites and if I thought they were boomes and might have a good story, I asked for one. Each was a private, individual email. It was labor intensive, but it worked. Women began sending me stories and telling freinds to do the same. I've now received over 600 stories. HAd Inot reached out, I'd have only a few. So go for it!

I certainly agree, the personal touch means quite a bit to me. I am unhappy when I write to someone that I have been in business with (ie: have taken a course from them, have given them money for something) and they can't be bothered to answer.

One of the reasons that I am hear is when I ask Dotsie something, I hear from her personally. It is labor intensive on her part, but it makes all the difference for me.

I send out a newsletter once a month and I usually ask people to send me an email with something personal. I occasionally get an email and I am always quick to answer. This has made a world of difference in the way that my readers see me.

I was looking up buzz words today and found...dialing and smiling...the buzz word for cold calling. Now that sounds like more fun! Maybe I can think that when I'm calling a new person.

Jane, try to remember that you are in charge, you know the items or service your selling, the subject matter and they don't. Act the part(cofident) and it comes through in your voice (presentation.) Plus on the phone they can't see you and if you stumble word wise, they won't know. You nave no boss to worry about, no one listening or walking behind you. SO, go for it. You can always hang up if you get muddled.
