We are "sisters of the heart."
And this is a great place to relax, unwind,
vent, spill out whatever we want....someone will
always be here to listen and understand : )

Thank you, Dotsie, for all that you do!

diamond, thanks. It's truly my pleasure.

Kathy, email me if you want. I am getting ready to send them all away to college so I know exactly what you're dealing with.

Kathy, if it's any consolation, you can almost see the lightbulb go on over their heads around 19-20 years old and then they become the people you hoped they would be someday.

Hang in their gal...think of it this way, after raising boys, there are no surprises left!

Thanks everyone. I know, I have a 19-yr old who is a polite young man the vast majority of the time. I think the worst years for him - and now for his brother - are 14-15. It sure is wearing on you though, isn't it?

Thanks Daisy! Today is my daughter's last day home before attending college. I'm still waiting for her to tell me what she wants for her "last supper."

I recall my daughter then son doing the leaving for further education thing. My heart had a hole in it.it get filled with love I can assure you.
My son also did a post grad year.so there we were his sister and I dropping him off....he showed such kindness and love and looked so ready for this new experience that I kept calm and was brave.....UNTIL on a rural road a little kitten had been run over and was lying dead on the verge.I opened up....my daughter who was driving saw and joined the grown ups club by saying "You have been through this Mother with both of our academic chioces...but you did tell us to work hard at school" whilst she was crying for the kitten AND her brother.
Good luck and love to your daughter..

Hello

I joined because I was drawn to the positivity of the people on it. I am on a few others and they seem to be places for people to jump on the bandwagon of other peoples misery.

In fact I dropped out of one recently because if you were doing well you were snubbed but if you were down in the pit everyone loved you!!!

Keep up the good work!

Isn't that odd, PositiveLiving? I guess it just proves that old saying that misery loves company. Good for you on "moving on." I'm a firm believer in you are who you surround yourself with...amen!
