Actually, I think that's everyone's purpose, but not everybody realizes it. We further the web of life, the larger Connection, by caring about those around us. I'm honored that so many people consider me worthy of their friendship. Each one of these people enriches my life. It's not a burden to be "present" for them at all. It's not my original quote, but something like this: "What seems like a burden for one, is light as a feather when carried by many." I am one of many. meredithbead The Divine Ms M Registered: 07/07/03 Posts: 4894 Loc: Orange County, California	I'm saddened to report that LaVeta died this past Friday, after a long and valiant battle. She never lost her hope or her spirit, no matter how bad her prognosis was. She was loved by very, very many, and will be missed by all. Memorial service is still pending. To say she was loved by all is probably an understatement of her life. We should all be so lucky to have this same thing said about us. I too give you my sympathies Ms M, and I know you find comfort in the fact alone that her life path crossed your own. I'm sure that Lavita knew how much you cared for her. JJ
