Deb the Author, I agree with Katrinka and Dotsie. After reading your story, your name will remind me of courage and determination every time I see it in these forums.

Deb the author,
Yes, this is an amazing group of women. I've been going through a difficult time, so I come here for solace and to read others' inspiring stories. I admire the women here, and most of them don't know it, but they always give me a good kick in the pants.
I look forward to getting to know you.

Marie

Katrinka, isn't it fun feeling those zingers while reading the posts? Fortunately, I feel more uplifted than zinged so it works for me. I continue to be amazed at the wisdom that lies within the hearts of boomer women. We rock!

It's very interesting how our screen names tell so much about us! I'm using Daisygirl because my best friend these days is my Weimaraner Daisy. Some of her nicknames are Daisygirl, Sweetiegirl, and of course I can always add a middle name, like Sue or Lou or May. I used to have a Boxer named Lily, and then my screen name was Flowergirls.

Daisy doesn't do many tricks (my fault), but one thing I taught her is to shake hand/paw when I ask her if we're girlfriends. he he

I chose Bookie because my profession is accounting/bookkeeping. I have a home based bookkeeping service. In Arizona one does not have to display licence plates on both front and back of a vehicle...only on the back so a couple of years ago my husband had a plate made up for me that says BOOKIE. I get some interesting glances from people as I drive down the road...especially in Las Vegas!

I just changed my screen name. When I signed up I thought you had to use your real name. I chose this one because I love bluebirds and I recently moved west. (I feel like I've always belonged west.) I lived in NY all of my 46 years and didn't feel like I fit there...not pushy enough!!!

Sweetabbey is for my daughter. She just turned one year old, and she's the sweetest thing I know of.
