Welcome Chickadee!! I edit my posts because I cringe when I see my own typos; however, editing is not required for anyone else. [Wink]

When I first joined, I could never remember where my posts were. Now I "know" the forums and am a little better at unearthing replies to al my gems *cough* *cough*

Chick, I can tell you fit right in. By the end of the week we'll feel like we've known one another for years.

There are no red pens in these forums. I repeat...no red pens!

Except for Meredith! [Big Grin] We know she edits her posts! [Big Grin] Always has! [Wink]

Welcome Chickadee!
I am fairly new here myself and it is totally addicting! I used to go online just to check my email but now I come here first. The women here are great, really interesting and very helpful. I felt comfortable right away.

I guess it's that beautiful Boomer thing, because without even knowing each other's names, we understand each other and can relate!

Glad to have another writer on the block! By what you're saying, you never know... pretty soon you might be our next author, right? Enjoy this unique place and your new found friends!

Evie,
Where are your relatives from in NF? My daughters and grandchildren are in Carbonear and my son is in Ontario. We are "all" getting together in NF in October and having an early Christmas...
I leave on the 13th for 3 weeks. I can't wait. It's been 9 months since I saw the girls and grandkids and a couple of years since I saw my son. It's going to be wonderful getting us all together again.

Hello Chickadee! I'm late in welcoming you, but welcome you are. And we share a weird connection. On the eve of my 34th birthday, Mom dropped the news that Dad wasn't really my Dad at all. I had a different biological Dad named ..............Jack Frost! No Kidding. I didn't have to search for him - he was always there, and I didn't know it. But everyone, EVERYONE, knew about him. My brothers. My sister. My cousins. My grandmother. Long story short - we met 8 months later, and share a relationship today. Though his grown-up sons don't want to meet me, since "I" caused the divorce of Jack and his wife. Guess I was a pretty powerful little seedling, huh? I keep praying to one day meet them, too.

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!

Dian,
Forgive me for commenting here, but how strange is it that there is a Jack Frost that lives here in town as well? What are the chances?

He works (or use to) for the utility company here. I remember someone who knew him was telling us one time that he had to have an unlisted number because of all of the prank calls. Of course I neverrrrrrr did that sort of thing...no way! [Wink]
