LOL everyone is interested in hypnotherapy. Mostly I became certified becasue I worked with Children and then "adult children" who were pretty dissociative from mostly sexual abuse . I had many multiples (dissociative identity disorder) who were "fragemented" and had repressed memnories. However hypnotherapy can be used for many many things : self confidence, memory, pain relief, etc etc.

But a GOOD hypnotheraist is essential

Memory? Whats that,I forgot? (jk)

I was wondering what your views are on hypnotism for the fear of travel i.e. plane, boat train, bus etc. My grand daughter has this fear. Is 13 too young to do hypnotism?

Hi Donette, I used to cruise several forums, but pared down to this one only. I get all that I need from the various forums and friends at BWS. I lived in St. Joseph until Jan 05. Maybe I know you. I think I know where one of your stores is, downtown. Is that the publishing place? Also, I went back to school at MWSC to get my degree in social work. I sort of free lance now in CO as an author and advocate. I facilitated a group for adult surivivors of CSA at the YWCA. Nice to meet you now! Love and Light, Lynn

chickadee : Yes hypnosis is very effective on children, They are much easier and do not have the defenses that adults have.

I have worked with many children with "guided imagery"

Hi Donette! WELCOME. Great to see you here with us....As you know a lot of Boomer Women are included in "Brownies" and everyone loved your beautiful purple cover for the book.

This is a really great forum and I think you are going to enjoy getting to know everyone here; speaking as someone who has known YOU for a while, I know the ladies are going to enjoy hearing about all the things you are involved in too.

Hi Donette, no offense, I'm not likely to return to St. Joe. My husband was the manager of the Sunset Grille for 4 years. When he left, the place went bankrupt. Lynn

Hi Donette:

Welcome to a warm and wonderful place. I'm fairly new and, up until now, haven't participated much in any forums.

There are some very warm and caring women here who easily make everyone feel welcome.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Hugs and Blessings, Francine

lionspaw: incorporate elimination of a few of the personalities just by not being needed any more . I also worked with a few that could not intgrate fully however when I was working with several of the most fragmented ones the word incorporate was not used then. Inegrations WAS supposed to be the goal but sometimes that is not possible or desirable .

Hi, Donette - I had lots of issues with AOL and left when I moved from Minnesota to Michigan, since I was changing everything else. It wasn't so much the problems as the customer service, or lack thereof.

In any case, I had to respond here, because my full, legal first name is Jonette - so I figured we had a little something in common. [Smile]

Hello I have not been back for a while as I have been struggling with a mjor illness that has gotten me so far behind in work I can't see straight .

I missed coming here and I will be back more often , Our press is doing many things for the hurricane effort and I will be back today to post some of the good news here. I hope that none of you were severely effected by the hurricane. ( Although with a forum this big I'm sure there were people here that suffered) If you were my heart goes out to you and I hope you have comfort soon.

I will be back to post in several of the forums but I just wanted to say hello again
