Hi all -- I'm new here...saw an article in my local newspaper (Orlando Sentinel) and just had to come and check it out. It's wonderful!! A little about me -- I'm 50, married to a quadraplegic who is very active and independent, no kids, just two of the 4-legged furry kind (beagles). We travel a lot to bass tournaments and do a lot of volunteer work for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. I used to be very active on a similar forum for women who've had hysterectomies (hystersisters.com) but kind of got past that and have been looking for something like this site to be able to chat with other women.......this is great!! Hi Ann! Just joined this site myself yesterday, member # 807...so welcome! I'm 48, married 25 years. We have 3 kids, 22, 16, and 12. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people.

Hi Ann!
You mentioned going to bass tournaments. Have you and your husband even gone to one in South Carolina? Specifically on Lake Keowee? We aren't fishermen, but love boating and know there is a large bass tournament here at least once a year. We are pretty new to the area so don't know a lot of details. But if you're interested I'd be more than happy to try to find out details for you!

Hi Ann, It's great to have another new member. I'm pretty new myself. I'm 54 years old and a stay at home mom having resigned from the I.R.S. twenty years ago. My husband retired 6 years ago from the Dept. of Defense. We have two children Rob 20, in his third year of college and Victoria 17, a senior in high school. You're one of us so sit back and enjoy! We can get a bit rowdy at times but I think you'll like that part especially. This is a wonderful group of caring women. You'll be surprised at the things we're not too embarassed to talk about!

Hi Everyone,
I hope I am doing this right.
I am also a newbie. I have been reading posts from this website for about a year now. I guess
it is time for me to join in and meet some wonderful women and make some new friend's.
I'm 49, have 2 children, 27 year old daughter,
13 year old son, 2 1/2 year old granddaughter.
I can't wait for this adventure to happen.

I'm pretty new here myself, but like that I've seen so far. I recently dropped out of a list I'd outgrown, too, so I'm being cautious about getting to involved yet.
