Hello from Ash
so you want to be able to put all your belongings in a car.
I understand.

Does something happen as we mature...I gathered "stuff" quilts curtains card making?sewing projects.and all the hats I jave owned are in hat boxes on top of my clothes cupboard.
BUT NOW
I really want to have less.I passed two warm coats on to the charity shop last week. Really wish a fairy would take all my shoes away(common sense say keep them)

Tomorrow a new bed arrives and I am just off to sift what I will keep and what go to the same place as my coats did.

Thing is I realise this is a mental state and gives me more work.

Any one else feel the same ?

I truly believe what William Morris said
"Have in your house only what is useful or beautiful"

Welcome, merryclicker glad to have you here...look around and post where ever your heart desires. Expect to be here often...it's addictive.

Ash...really love the William Morris quote.
"Have in your house only what is useful or beautiful"

In the garage yesterday, tossing and throwing out...would have thrown out more, but, the rest belongs to the kids.

Merryclicker, glad you joined us. Welcome!
Sorry to hear you're a widow for 29 yrs. My mom stayed solo for 30 years, after my dad's death.

Click away, merrily, day or night. This home is always open to those fortunate enough to call it "home". I hope your daughter finds a job that suits her needs.
