Anne,
I listened to Chatty's radio show when it was live. I bought and read the 6 books she recommended. And I still used them. Chatty Edited my 1st manuscript, twice for me. The second time she gave me a price break. I'm gonna miss her FB Pokes. Every few days she'd poke me and I'd look forward to seeing those. She encouraged, edified, and loved me through the last 7 difficult, difficult years. I was planning on traveling to Las Vegas this
fall to meet her. I so wanted to meet her! I didn't know Chatty was dead when I wrote that [Intercession] poem. But she must've been. WOW! The thing is, Chatty is safe and in the arms of The Lord now. It's the void she'll leave here on Earth that's the roughest part of this whole deal! And wouldn't be nice if all of us could just sleep away when we're called home!!!!

I couldn't believe this when I saw it on Facebook today. I was thinking of her just this morning. I went to Vegas in 2006 and although we did not get to meet, we spoke on the phone for a long time. I am going to Vegas in a few days and this morning was t hinting I should email her or call her and see if there was a possibility that we could meet this time. That won't happen, of course, but I will think of her when I am there. There were so many conversations over the years on here, FB and personal emails. She will be missed by her boomer sisters.

Well, this is a shock, to put it mildly. How unfortunate to think that she had been ailing for some time. She certainly lived life to the fullest; my condolences to her family. I hope they are doing as well as can be expected under such sad circumstances.

Wow, chatty gone? What did impress me was her unquenchable enhusiasm --even if she held different opinions. She was quite willing to forgive a big difference of opinion, yet move on to be still friends.

By the way: glad to see some folks here in this thread: I'm not on facebook and don't plan to be there.

Chatty,

You have shocked me once again! Who is going to do this now in the special way you could do it? I am grateful that you left us quietly in your sleep.

Peace! girl. I will miss you and your poking me into a reaction of some sort.

As one of the first to join boomerwomenspeak, I remember when Chatty came to the site. At first we were all a little taken aback by her outspoken nature. But she lit up the board with her honesty, enthusiasm and love. And soon we all wanted to be her friend.

Never one to beat around the bush, she always made her feelings known. And she had feelings on almost every subject. She had all kinds of experience and never hid her unusual occupation. Instead she used what she learned in that strange business to help others. And when she wanted out, she used her innate enthusiasm to develop a successful editing career.

Through it all her innocence and honesty along with the love she openly displayed made her such a memorable and loveable addition to my life and the lives of so many.

She was much loved and will be missed. Good night Sweet Chatty, and God bless.

smilinize,
I joined BWS after Chatty. And I remember coming across your
site name and questioning who and where you were. And Chatty
jumped right in and said she knew you and what a great person
you are. I said that 2 say this: Chatty admired U as well!!!

So hard to believe that she's gone. She was such a big part of BWS. She helped me dodge a bullet about publishing a few years ago & introduced me to a person who has become a dear friend. She touched so many lives. It just won't be the same without her. Prayers & blessings to her family & friends. Chatty, you will be missed!
