Hello!

I'm happy to have found this forum as well... it's nice to hear the voices of other boomer women

I'm married with 3 grown children and 1 granddaughter. One daughter and our granddaughter live with us which makes life exciting. Originally from Miami, Florida.. have been in South Carolina for the past ..oh.. 26 years or so! Love to travel - have been as far west as Austin TX.. as far north as NYC with side trips to PA and Michigan. Have been to England and France.

A photographer by nature and as a career, I also love reading, hiking, movies, music, yoga. Miss the ocean but love the mountains. Hmmm can't think of anything else at the moment, but look forward to perusing the different topics.

We retired in Va. after my husband's 20 year career in the military. He is now working on the 2nd retirement.

Have 5 adult children and one grandchild. Four of the AC are still at home. Well...they come and go...mostly come.

I love reading, gardening, refinishing antiques, and my time here at BWS.

Ellie - WELCOME to the land of Boomer women. We're glad you found us. You certainly lead a nice full life with lots of interests and indeed you will find many women here who share like interests.

My husband and I love to travel too - it's nice to have the time now that we've hung up our full-time jobs to explore the world. We are both AVID readers - especially mysteries. Maybe that's why I chose that genre when I began writing novels?

Anyway - have fun exploring this large and diverse forum......glad to have you!

My mom actually named me for a Mario Lanza song.. Mariaelena. I always asked her why she just didn't use that instead of Ellen Marie.
