Just got an I-Phone. Kinda new to all this. My old cell was just a phone and had voicemail......that was it. Finally convinced my husband it was time to upgrade. Since he doesn't have full use of his hands, texting is really not something he's interested in, but I wanted it.......plus all the other fun stuff. Went to a class at the Apple store for new I-phone users and learned a few things I hadn't already figured out.......plus I learned that there are a lot of people out there way more clueless than I am? So I'm wondering............what's your favorite thing to do with your I-phone or web-enabled phone? And are there any shortcuts I need to learn that maybe I haven't figured out yet??

And my second question is, does anybody else notice when they look at that post that all the "w"'s look funny?? Like they don't have enough ink on them compared to all the other letters, if they were appearing on a printed page?

I am a brand new iPhone user. They say it's "easy"..HA! I'd much rather be on my desktop. But DH wanted this for us, so here we are.
I think I'll wait for him to learn his and he can teach me what I need to know for mine.
Geesh! Technology!!!

I love technology! I switched from Blackberry to a Galaxy SII - it has a big screen, great colors. I use it for texting, reading books, reading and posting on Facebook and Twitter, I look up stuff on the internet, receive and send email. I have a few great apps, like Foursquare, traffic, and weather. There's an app that will identify a song on the radio, there's another that is a barcode reader and will tell me if the same item is cheaper somewhere else. I can get directions, find specific places, see what's happening close to where I am. And I haven't even checked out all the other available apps. It wasn't that difficult for me to figure it out. I think some people find technology easier than others. It is frustrating at times if I can't figure something out, but I can usually get an answer on one of the online tech/geek communities.

I've signed up at Verizon for a free class next week. They don't often have a weekday/mid-afternoon class, but I found one.
