This year the weather was the pits, gave people all around the US of A fits.
Cold in the southern states and they even saw snow, climates usually wintery saw not much more than winds blow.
Here in the desert no one was wearing swimsuits, in fact if it rained any harder they'd be wearing hip-boots.
But soon all will change, no snow a-top the mountain range, frying eggs on HOT blacktop, is a summer sport though strange.
I have lived in the Midwest, back East and out West, Never made it down south yet, want to go to feel Southern lifes zest.
I would happily sell my home and buy a medium size RV, tour all of these United States. just me, and sweet Sassy...

Chatty, you and me, it seems doth think the same, 'Bout this silliness we call, the poem writing game. Love putting poems together, but only for fun, Certainly not for worldy fame, or I never would've begun.
Poems feel like a spiritual lift, Overcoming heaviness, what a beautiful gift, Juggling words here and there, Makes life's problems much easier to bear! Why would anyone take credit, For something they love to do? Don't think that I will, And it sounds like, neither will you!

ICEBREAKER
Got blusterin' winds, colder than cold, And I don't mind sayin' It's gettin' mighty old.
Then an invisible person happened by, And took my heating pad, Though I don't know why. Could've use it, for warmin' pieces-parts, Stuff like tiny, frozen toes, And skin that's fallin' apart.
Would someone tell me, please, Who took that doggone pad, Fore I begin to boil over, Or start gettin' real mad.
But then again, rethinking it, Perhaps throwin' a major fit, Would be the very best way, Of warmin' up this kind o' day.
