Blondi, great post. I'm with you. FEELING GOOD makes all the difference in the world. I also believe the ability to do certain physical activities makes us feel better about ourselves. I have a friend I walk with and occasionally we do the 4.4 mile route. Just knowing I have that in me makes me want to do it more.

Here's to healthy boomer women!

4.4 mile route Dotsie? That's pretty darn impressive!!..having a friend along is a great way to keep yourself going too...sometimes when i am tempted to skip my walk in the park ..just knowing I'll let my buddy down spurs me on to keep on walking...I'm only doing 3 miles though...

Well, I'm back from Mom's and did so well. I'm patting myself on the back. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's on FRIDAY and I had grilled chicken and steamed broccoli, water to drink. It was deelish! Then grapefruit and Kashi cereal for breakfast, Mom and I walked 30 minutes today WITH arm weights of 1 lb, then a protein shake on the way home for my snack, then lunch at home with my stir fry veggies and tuna salad and water. Wuhooooo...haven't missed a beat.

Life is good.

Nancy, Dotsie...very sound advice indeed!

When I get where I'm going, I've decided to post the before and after picture. THEN...then you will have a clear definition of fluffy. I got to tell you though, I feel like a train that running down the track, right on schedule. And for once, this is a feeling that feels GOOD!

I'm so proud of all of you : )

As for myself, I've been cutting back on portions
and feeling pretty good about it; continued on
with Curves and the scale and the way my clothes
fit shows it!

Keep on keeping on, girls : )

I hope we all learn to eat healthy, lighter and exercise regularly. It can be a challenge at times.
JJ, I was wondering how da trixter was taking to your lifestyle changes and wrote this little poem while thinking about you both this morning. Just so proud of your accomplishments...

Name it what you want...

I was sick of being fluffy and decided to make a change
Fast food joints and restaurants, myself...I did estrange
I walked my dog, I even cooked, Now that's a switch for me
I'm eating greens and lima beans
And drinking ugh! green tea

I go to see my family, with dog and food in tow
I'm steaming this and grilling that, and eating it reeaaalll slow
I hope I don't get waterlogged from drinking all this stuff
Lifes a beach, but time will tell
We'll all know soon enough

Trixie thinks it's just a faze, and failure will take over
She would rather sleep all day, than traipse through fields of clover
I have to take her with me, she needs it just as I do
The time to change her lifestyle...is also over doo doo (ha ha, couldn't resist)

Today I tipped the weigh scale at more than when I started
Eating healthy every day, is not for the faint hearted
How can this be? I've done it all! right down to eating Kashi
I have gained??? NOT! CAN'T BE!
...I'm smelling something f...i..s..hhhy

There behind my nekked tush, a paw is reaching forward
And pushing on my bathroom scale! NOW LET ME BE STRAIGHT FORWARD
I don't need a dog... that's smart...well almost smart as I am.
Tipping the scales in her favor...
I'd call that...Bathroom Spam!
