Mistletoe, snowflakes, champagne, strudel
Mistletoe hangs overhead in high places, Champagne has blushed the whole family's faces.
I look out the window, There, wouldn't you know, Snowflakes have fallen, And covered the trees in a row.
Cherry strudel, 'tis my favorite, Now don't be rude, Save me some dessert, I ate too much other food.

Chatty, I can tell you are tickled as Christmas punch! It really is something to know that your words will be used for English children in London. You're not bragging, you have every reason to be proud. I'm glad you shared it with us! Jabber your phrase made me smile...because it's so true for me. "Mistletoe hangs overhead in high places, Champagne has blushed the whole family's faces." New words: Messenger, nature, tranquil, infused Hate to admit this, but I'm terribly confused, By one of the poem words, - namely; - 'infused'. Teeth clenched, eyes bugged, I did some mean googling Hah! Whadda ya know; - tea 'infuser' is great for brewing. My tranquil nature is challenged, dear Jabber My mind is empty, it needs to be lathered. A head massage, brain pills, and the like, You've caused smoke coming out of my ears tonight. No message or rhyme seems to make sense, Messenger, Bessenger, Dessenger, - I'm tense. Hey…what's that? Did I use up your words! Break out the champagne for all poetry nerds! New Words Presents, buy, sceptical, filled

Congratulations Chatty!!!! You should be proud! That is the neatest thing I've heard in a long time.
Edelweiss3, That was a clever poem! Those words weren't too hard for you! You did a great job.
I don't know where the words come from. They just pop out!
Your new words: Presents, buy, sceptical, filled
December, it finds me, rushing around, I go from store to store, I'll buy gifts over here, and gifts over there, and then I'll buy a few more.
I feel so proficient and even a bit thrilled, when my gift list I think, I've got filled. But the skeptic within, whispers, "too easy my friend," You'd better get busy again. Bet you've forgotten, maybe two or three, Or might've left out even four, And me thinks that perhaps, via absentmindedness, You may've slipped up even more.
But I ought not be sceptical, Or think like a cynic, Holidays are 'bout peace, love and joy. Watch the children have fun, What gets done, gets done. 'Cause it's all 'bout a new baby boy! A sweet, calm spirit, I love the feeling, That's what makes me happy and free. Laughter and merriment ought to be how, We celebrate Christ's birthday don't you agree. So stop running around and act like a clown, And you'll love Christmas as much as me!

After the Christmas rush is over And the list of requests has been filled It’s time to check and confirm That my wallet can pay the bill!
When heart overrules the head And spends beyond revenue It’s fun at the time, for sure, Until those “big bill blues”.
But somehow it all gets paid And balances out in the end But by the time I break even It’s time to start shopping again!
Next year I’ll try to do better Before I go shopping for toys And consult my accountant (dear hubby) - Oh, but why miss out on the joy!
The glow on their faces is worth it, The toys in their hands fit just right, The cost never enters my mind when Their laughter sings sweet with delight.

somersaults, ripple, spark, words
What is it that can light a spark in your heart? Lift your soul high and be happy as a Lark? It can cause many a somersault of emotions, Be shallow or deep, as the deepest of oceans, Like rings of ripples on a still clear lake, Power of words; - don't underestimate.
New words Wings, lining, light, elation

On the wings of a dove, God sends down His love, And behind every cloud, there's a silver lining. Folks have shouted both lines aloud, While they do their pining in phrases. Believers express light, lilting emotion, or sing gratitude and Godly praises, to angels in Heavenly places. Music, 'tis a great, great gift, The Heavenly Father provides, To let people release elation Or soothe their heartbroken hides.

Yield, branch, background, terrain
Today in our city we’re grumbling Through mountains of snow not yet plowed The city’s terrain is all covered From sidewalks to branches and boughs.
Our buses have all gone on strike now, The train tracks lay silent and still, The people are forced now to fumble Through all of these snow-laden hills.
The music is still in the background, You can hear the glad tidings ring out Through the doorways and gaily-lit windows Of shops where there’s no-one about.
Winter has stormed in much too early, The calendar still says that it’s fall But red leaves and mums have to yield now To the bluster of winter’s white call.
So over the hills and the snowbanks Our townsfolk must wearily trudge - Whoever dreamt of a white Christmas Should come here and shovel us out!
(I know, the last line doesn't quite rhyme)
New words: bells, whistles, horns, strings
