Chickadee, I checked in here at 7:30 a.m. and saw no "customers." I thought I'd wait and come back to see if anyone had posted so here I am!
Now you know you can get through those cravings girl! When you get those bedrooms finished go outside for a walk. Did you also join the NABBW? I did this morning.
Have you got some carrots or celery to chew on? Every time you get a craving eat one. It'll take the edge off and I'm wagering a pound or two, if it's needed.
I'm going to be "behind the counter waiting for you to come in today."
You've come too far to let those cravings get the best of you! I know you won't let 'em! [ December 05, 2005, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: ladybug ]

Oh boy, today is a close one. Thank You from my heart for being here Ladybug and Smile. I am fighting the demon with a passion and I am winning. With your prayers and words and my determination. I have one heck of a headache, tho. I am going to say it's my body releasing its fight and fury to rid itself of the years of poisons inside. I AM NOT GOING back there...I am not going back there...I am NOT! Sneaky dang demon. Back to the bedrooms. chick

Oh Chickadee, you make me both smile and laugh.
I read your Christmas poem and couldn't believe you wrote that yourself. You should've been a commedian! Me thinks you are wasting talent.
I thought I heard JawJaw groan earlier when I suggested that you chomp down on some carrots or celery. In good conscience, I couldn't advise you to pull out the oreos, especially not with all the Christmas cookies I suspect are already hidden under couch pillows and such.
Beat those demons, they are the ghosts of cigarettes past.

I made it! Ladybug, I didn't overeat but I did overwork. They say hard work never killed anybody. Thank you for your comments on my poem. Smile, Martha can't hold a candle to you. I think the headache came because of that time of the month, also. TVC, when you're ready join me. You can do it too. I think I'll be OK from here on. Thanks for holding me in prayer and encouraging words chick

Oh Chick....it is a sneak...... it does sneak up 'out of nowhere' just as you said...... that is the way of addiction...... you are taking your life back Chick..... you have a right to your life..... Chick remember the Jack Benny Show.... on the radio first, then tv... it was such an excellent thing to look forward to listening to, then later to watch.... but remember Chick.... how everyone was also encouraged, encouraged to buy 'lucky strikes'.....how many millions of millions of dollars were reaped by getting us hooked ...... Chick...... your not giving one more inch of your life or one more red cent to be a slave anymore !!!!!!! No B...... Way !!!! Right? Right! [ December 06, 2005, 03:11 AM: Message edited by: norma ]

Glad to see you here Norma. I remember that show too and the Lucky Strike commercials. My elderly neighbor Marge said her doctor encouraged her to smoke as a way to keep her weight down when she was much younger. Her and her husband quit cold-turkey in their later years. Marge is still with us and going strong of course, with a few ailments, she's 82!
I told my kids this about drug dealers and as far as I'm concerned it could hold true for tobacco companies: None of these people care about your health and well-being they only want to get rich off of your misery. That always made my son really angry, the idea that someone would profit from him being hurt. It did the trick.
Take each small step and before you know it the journey has been made! [ December 06, 2005, 10:18 AM: Message edited by: ladybug ]
