Edelweiss and Chatty, I sense the pain within; and I have pain
within as well. But I keep trying to find the goodness and joy
in life to counteract the sadness and hurt. There will always
be people in the world who are jealous and mean, and they want
to drain our joy and make us as miserable as they are. But you and me should do ourselves a favor; choose to look on the bright side of life. Let's forcus on all the blessings God has given us:
the green grass, blue sky, singing birds, happy pets, gentle folks' smiles, good food, soft pillows, etc! Love ya! Love your poems! Have a wonderful day!

Tryin' to think of a perfect rhyme,
I'll tell ya, it's a huge crime,
Can't come up with anything that chimes,
Currently, during this exact time.

Visited a good friend in the hospital earlier today,
she so wants to hang around, she really wants to stay.

Seems she has gotten a nasty bug,
from beneath her it's yanked the rug.

She asked me why, why me? I've always been such a good girl,
my misdoings around on one finger I could twirl.

When I left her room and stepped outside with the sun on my face,
I realized how lucky I am to be in my own place.

Troubles I may have but no where near her strife,
I am aggrivated by little things while she is losing her life.

As hard as it may be on my soul to watch her slip away,
I will get up early and go to visit her every single day.

I'll take flowers, an afghan, books and even some sweets.
no use worrying about her figure, she can enjoy all the treats.

I will miss my friend when she heads upstairs to her maker,
the strangest part is that her brother is the local undertaker.

If you have a minute and a open spot in your day,
when you're speaking to God remember Saundra and please pray.

You bet, I'll pray,
Saundra shall be included,
Each and every day.

Life takes little twists and turns,
Even the super clever,
Now and again, take turns getting burned.

Second verse, it was deleted, sounded too vindictive, and not very discretive.

There is no better remedy for ones woes,
When feeling blue, from your head to your toes,
Than to see another, much worse off than yourself,
Live for the moment, enjoy, and put your troubles on the shelf.

Anno if you check back at some of the older poems/rhymes, you will find funny and sad, happy or mad. No holds barred, we are all over the place and believe me it seems to help get the gloomy out of your soul...

Your right, chatty. It's somewhat therapeutic. I find it relaxing, and I can shut out the world; Sort of like painting.

Today a big breakfast
Making for a bigger mess
The home smells of bacon
This I must confess.

I indulge in my favorite treat
Once a month at most
To my clogged arteries
I make a small toast.

Stay clear and strong
But let me eat
My American bacon
At least once a week.
