Instead of buying those plastic privacy inserts for chain link fences or dog kennels, make your own for little or nothing. Simply use any old vinyl window blinds instead. It's easy to cut the strings off to seperate the blinds, then weave each individual blind through the chain links on the fence. They overlap easily for added length, and for shorter lengths, simply cut with scizzors. I did mine diagonally on my outdoor dog kennel. My kids even helped, and we had a blast!

It is very attractive, and has lasted for over 6 years now, still looking like new. That is through 20 below temperatures, blizzards, etc. These window blinds are always found at garage sales, or being thrown out. They come in many colors, and it's a shame to throw them away whenever a couple of blinds are torn or bent when you can use the remaining blinds for this. Recycle..yes!!

The sites which you shared are really good and useful. I always used to try making stuffs with cloths. I like stitching, so all I can do is introducing new patterns grin with the cloths with are available at home smile
