Christmas 2014
Take Christ out of Christmas, Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Mary's miracle baby boy, Is God the Living Word.
Jesus slept in a manger, And lived without sin. But the souls of mankind, Were weighing heavily on Him.
With wisdom beyond His years, He heals the sick, blind and lame. Then dies on Calvary's Cross, Humans' souls, His precious gain.
String lights on all the buildings, And let the carolers' loudly sing. Christmas is Jesus' birthday, And He's the King of Kings.
With tenderhearted mercy, Mary's son took mankind's place. That single act, alone, Ought put a smile on every face!

A FRESH START
Happy New Year, 'tis now Twenty-fifteen, Here's to the best twelve months you've ever seen.
Times come 'n go, earth keeps spinning 'round, Folks' searching for nuggets, they haven't yet found.
Have a dream for your life, the preacher doth say, Stop worry, stop strife, and live the right way.
Stir yourself up, keep fanning those flames, Walk out that dream 'n success you may gain.
January first, get a fresh, new start, Bring to fruition, what's dearest your heart.
You only fail, if you decide to quit, So try, try again, next push could do it.
Keep, keepin' on with a smile 'n grin, Takes hard work, for a winner to win.

EASTER 2015
Bunnies and candy and colored eggs, they'll be, But what role do they play, in The Cross of a tree, 'N the Son of God rising from His death, eternally?
Should anybody wonder or even care, German Lutherans' originated the Easter Hare, And folkloric figure, leaving goodies everywhere.
Like Santa at Christmas, with presents in hand, Easter Bunny has baskets that are colorfully grand, And good children get rewarded all across the land.
Giving gifts to youngsters' may stir their soul, For Christ's birth 'n resurrection, they ought to know, Showing tots' a gentler path in which to grow.
Linking gifts with Divinity's biggest calendar days, 'Tis a tender, loving concept, the impressionable to sway. And after that what else is left to say.
Easter ushers in Springtime, warmth 'n such, Birds singing, leafy trees 'n buds on so much. Happy Easter, Happy Holiday; to Christ let us clutch.

CEMETERIES & CROSSES
In America there are cemeteries, Headstones 'n crosses, aligned in rows, Marking graves of military losses, Sons and daughters of those we know.
More than a half million soldiers' died, Protecting freedoms of this land, Those souls now soaring through Heaven, Gently resting in God's great hand.
Stars 'n stripes on flags sway gracefully, As in warm winds they blow 'n blow, Words can't describe the gratitude, Or indebtedness thy countrymen owe.
Honoring soldiers' who've given all, Brave, strong 'n masterfully keen, Magnificent admiration is given, On this Memorial Day, 2015.
Let's never forget these warriors, Who've paid the ultimate price, So peers' might live peacefully, Enjoying the preciousness of life.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, FATHER
I think of daddy everywhere I go, He's a favorite memory; I love him so.
Strong as a bull; gentle as a lamb, His influence made me just what I am.
A faded photograph on the dresser doth stand, So I'll see poppa's face, every chance I can.
I'd be flat-out lonesome, if it were not true, Earthly daddy's waiting, there, beyond the blue.
Eyes shining with love like beacons at night, Few words, precious smile 'll make it all right.
Provider, protector, a love pure and kind, A hardworking gent, for kids' he made time.
Love's the greatest trait of a Christian man, Thank you, dear Lord, for a father so grand.
