Thank you ladies. Portals of Prayers is small book of Daily Devotions. The quarterly publication by the Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO. is written by pastors, freeland writers, and Concordia Seminary graduates. Area churches give them to their members. I subscribe directly to Concordia Publishing House at a cost of $10.00 per year. Here's their website: www.cph.org This 4 inch by 5 1/2 inch book, covers October-December 2008 and consists of one daily teaching and two scripture readings and a few targeted Bible verses.

And it has prayer dedications front and back. For example,
there are midday, midnight, Thanksgiving and Election Day prayers. Mealtime, morning and evening prayers.
