Rev Dr. Betsie H. Poinsett,
Are you a NABBW member? If so, take advantage of the associates on the left hand side of the page. There are experts in the financial field and will offer you some FREE advice.

You also might want to check out Suze Orman's books. One in particular that spells out "things" for you is The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom."

Another good book not necessarily on investing, but for anyone wanting to wipe out debt is Mary Hunt's "Debt-Proof Living." To me, both books are for the learning curve involved in becoming financial savvy and would recommend them. Also, they can usually be found in your public library!

On the blog. I have one and I used it quite extensively at first until I tried to submit a piece I wrote and had posted on my blog to an editor and she said, "You only get half price for this because it's been published." I said, "huh? Published? Where?" She said, "On your blog. That public domain, thus it's considered published." I learned the hard way! JJ
